The Colourway Chooser is a nice way of scrolling through, duplicating and deleting colourways from a design and can be used in the Design Window and the Layout Window.
Using the Colourway Chooser in the Design Window
The Colourway Chooser can be opened directly from the Layers Palette by clicking on the colourway number at the top of the window.
Or you can open it by going to the Colourway Menu and selecting Choose… The keyboard shortcut for this is ⌘' (command + apostrophe).
- To delete a colourway using the Chooser, hover over the one you want to delete and simply press ⌫ (backspace key) on the keyboard.
- To duplicate a colourway using the Chooser, hover over it and press the keyboard shortcut ⌘J.
Use the mountain icons to change the size of the chips within the chooser.
The eye icon is used to activate and deactivate real-time updates. If you switch the eye off, the active colourway will not update to the one you are hovering over until you click on it. When the eye is switched on, the active colourway updates to show the colourway you are hovering over.
The lock icon is used to lock colourways. Doing this prevents any colour changes, and the colourway cannot be deleted from the file.
Using the Colourway Browser in the Layout Window
The Colourway Chooser can also be used in the Layout Window. Simply activate a layout object, and use the keyboard shortcut ⌘'. The Chooser will appear, making it very easy for you to scroll, duplicate and delete colourways.
