Aligning colourways and colourway objects such as text and logos in the Layout Window

Ensuring the colourways on the page are perfectly aligned

Colourways and colourway objects such as text, logos and custom colour palettes can be aligned to the left, right, top, bottom or centre as well as horizontally and vertically in the Layout Window.

  1. Select the objects you wish to align.
  2. Go to Edit Menu > Align and select the appropriate type of alignment. The selected colourways will be aligned in the way you have chosen. Alternatively, you can use the toolbar shortcuts. If the shortcuts are not already there, customise your toolbar and add them.

Left and Right Alignment

When two or more colourway objects are selected, they will all align to the furthest edge in the direction of alignment selected. None of the selected objects will move vertically when aligning to the left or right.

Top and Bottom Alignment

When two or more colourway objects are selected, they will all align to the highest or lowest edge of the selected items in the direction of alignment selected. None of the selected objects will move horizontally when aligning to the top or bottom.

Centre Vertical

When two or more colourway objects are selected, they will all align to the centre of the selected items, moving along the horizontal axis. None of the selected objects will move vertically when aligning to the centre horizontally.

Centre Horizontal

When two or more colourway objects are selected, they will all align to the centre of the selected items, moving up or down the vertical axis. None of the selected objects will move horizontally when aligning to the centre vertically.
