To nudge means to move something by a very small amount. Some presentations in the Layout Window require a very specific positioning of objects, and nudging can help you to achieve this.

Any selected object can be nudged by pressing the appropriate arrow key on the keyboard. This will nudge the selected object by one pixel at a time, enabling the precise positioning of colourways on the page.

If you want to change the amount each tap of the arrow key moves the colourways and/or objects such as text and colour palettes you do this by going to Edit Menu > Select > Nudge Amount. You can enter any amount you want in here, in any of the available units.
