A stitch effect can be applied to any brush in the Brushes Library. Double click a brush to open the Brush Editor and set up a stitch effect.
Select the required stitch style. The straight line option will work as a standard paint brush. The second option will give an even dashed line and the third option will give an alternating dot and dashed line.
The resulting effect of the dashed line and dot/dashed line will vary depending on the settings chosen for the Mark and Space:
- Mark - determines the length of the dash in relation to the size of the chosen brush. The higher the % the longer the dash.
-
Space - determines the length of the gap between each dash or dot/dash. The higher the % the bigger the space.
A perfect use for this feature is to combine it with vector lines and shapes. Create vector shapes and render them with the desired stitching brush. For more details of this method, please click here.
