Sometimes when we scan fabrics in there is a texture in the background of the scan which we would like to remove

Using the Filter Browser to remove texture

It is possible to use the Filter Browser with a specific set of filters to try and reduce the texture, so that separations are easier. The recommended filter combinations can be found in the instructions below:

1. Activate your image layer 
2. Go to View Menu > Filter Browser
3. Create a new filter set and re-name it appropriately
   
4. Add a Gaussian Blur and Sharpen to your Filter set 
5. Adjust the levels so that the texture is slightly blurred and then sharpened
