Setting a default colour file view

Setting up your preferred way of viewing colour files

Any colour file view can be saved as the default view and can be applied to other colour files. This can be useful when you have spent some time getting your layout just as you want it.

Ensure the correctly laid out colour file is the active colour file and go to View Menu > Save Current View as Default. The view is saved and all newly created and opened colour files will adopt the view by default.

The exception to this rule are files saved with a manual view, which will open with their original layout, bypassing the default. To apply the default view to such a file, open the file and go to View Menu > Set to Default.

Delete

Note: Default views will not retain the same page set up, these can be set as normal using File Menu > Page Setup.
