Opening named colour profiles
Named colour profiles (NCP) are a colour space that consists of named colours. These profiles are often used to save colour swatch libraries (used by PANTONE®®® and others). Their file format is “.icc”, and they consist of LAB values.
In ColourSys, you have the ability to open this type of file to use as a new colour library.
- Go to File Menu > Open
- Set the Enable option to ColourSys and Text Import
- Select your NCP (such as the Web safe colour profile) and the colours will be displayed as a colour file
