How do I upload palettes to Productivity Manager?
It could not be easier! ^ (control key) click on the sub menu located in the bottom right of the palette and select ‘Save to Productivity Manager’. This will upload your setting to the database, making it available to colleagues.
If you change the palette at all, simply ‘Save to Productivity Manager’ again and the changes will be uploaded.
How do I subscribe to a palette?
- Firstly, you need to know the name of the palette you want to subscribe to. Obtain this information from the creator of the palette.
- In AVA, create a blank palette of the same name as the one you wish to subscribe to by selecting File > New Palette and save it somewhere on your hard drive. Perhaps your Documents folder, or in Users > Library > Application Support > AVA > Startup Items if you want to palette to open every time you launch the software.
- From the sub menu located in the bottom right hand corner of the palette select ‘Load from Productivity Manager’. Its contents will be updated from those saved on Productivity Manager, and you can use this function to manually update your palette at any time.
As long as you have named your palette exactly the same as the palette on Productivity Manager, the action buttons from the one on the server will be applied to your palette. Save it to retain these settings. - ^ (control key) click on the cog menu again and select Settings… Tick Update from Productivity Manager
From now on, its contents will instantly update upon launching the software or opening the palette.
Suggested workflow for a design studio
If you have created a palette of creative brushes, you may wish to share these with colleagues. Productivity Manager ensures you constantly stay up to date with changes made to these palettes, and that everybody is working with the same brush settings.
- Create a palette of creative brushes and save it with an appropriate name.
- Control click on the cog menu in the bottom right of the window and select Save to Productivity Manager.
- Tell your colleagues what the palette is called so they can create on on their system with the same name.
- You colleagues can now select Load from Productivity Manager and their palettes will be populated with the action buttons you added.
