If you have several vector shapes which make up a motif or a set of text, you can group these vectors together, making it easier to move them around the document.

1. Activate the vectors you want to group using the Select Vector Tool.
   
   
   
2. Go to Vector Menu > Group. The active vectors will now all move together when you select and move them with the Select Vector Tool, making placement very easy.
3. If you then need to move one of the grouped vectors independently, activate the group of vectors with the Select Vector Tool and go to Vector Menu > Upgroup. The vector shapes will not move independently again.
