This is a rapid way of comparing the delta-E difference between colour chips. It is particularly useful for comparing two similar substrate colours for example.

1. Activate a colour file and from the Window Menu, select Colour Difference. A window similar to the one below will open.
   
2. Drag and drop the first colour to be compared into the top colour box in the window. The colour name and its Lab values will appear.
3. Click on the second colour to be compared, so that it is highlighted in the colour file. It will appear in the second box with its colour name and Lab values next to it. The Delta-E difference between them is displayed at the bottom right of the window along with the differences between the Lab values.
