This Palette was designed to combine the steps needed to prepare a design and all its colourways as manageable size, close colour image files for non-AVA users to view. This is especially useful and a huge time saver for someone wishing to send digital proofs via email or low-res design and colourway cameos for a website.
The steps performed in the ‘Save all colourways as 72dpi’ Palette
This Palette is a real time saver! A history point is set as you start the Palette, which is then recalled at the end of its run to reset any temporary amendments to the file. It adjusts the resolution of your file down to 72dpi, then runs through each colourway and saves it as a JPEG image file to the Desktop. The image saved is using the ‘Save Combined Copy As…’ feature which ensures (where possible) that viewers of the final image are seeing as close to what the user sees as possible (monitor quality and/or calibration dependant). Users can also edit the Palette to produce a different file format and/or resolution.
