The Gamma Window can be used to adjust the lightness levels of a design. You simply need to switch on the option highlighted in the image below to display the Lightness View.

When selected, this opens an extra curve in the Gamma Window, where you adjust the overall lightness of the active layers or images. To hide the view simply click on the button again.
