Searching colour files

How to find specific colours in a colour file

Every colour file in ColourSys has a search box at the top of the window, in which you can tpye in names and numbers to find your colour.

Type in or paste a name, or part of a colour name into the search bar and ColourSys will automatically highlight the chip in the colour file.

If you are using PANTONE®®® colour files in AVA and are looking for a specific shade, you do not need to type the word ‘PANTONE®®’. Instead, simply begin entering the reference number (including the hyphen) in the search bar and the corresponding colour will appear highlighted in the file.

Note: You must be using the ColourSys 2.0 application in order to use this search method. This can be found in the AVA applications folder in your finder (versions AVA 5.nn and newer).
