Although we do our utmost to ensure AVA software is of a very high quality, it is possible, as with all software, that it can crash occasionally. It is extremely important that AVA get to hear about any problems which you may experience in order that we can improve the software.
Your privacy is important to us, and therefore you can set the Feedback Settings to either enable or disable the sending of crash reports.
Crash Reporting
- None - disables crash reporting and does not send any of your software information to AVA
- Automatically Send Crash Reports to AVA - automatically sends the reports to AVA, without asking for additional information from the user
- Feedback Name - this is the name that is attached to your report when it is sent to AVA. We recommend you enter your company name and first name. This makes it easier to identify you should we wish to get in touch and discuss your crash further
- Send AVA and System version information to AVA - ticking this option means the AVA version number and your current operating system version number are sent to AVA. This information is used by Technical Support when investigating your crashes
Usage statistics
- Send anonymised Usage Statistics to AVA - allows AVA to see which features are being used regularly, but anonymises the users identity
- None - AVA will not gather any information from you
Software update stream
- Normal - very recommended update. Some users prefer this over Early since they prefer others to use the software first
- Early - same as Normal but is sometimes earlier than people in the Normal stream receive it. You’d choose this if you wanted the very latest released software the moment it was available
- Beta - some of our customers are on our Beta program. They have access to pre released software which is considered to be ‘Beta’. It is not necessarily an advantage to use Beta software as the very reason you may be receiving it to see if it works correctly. For this reason AVA selects its beta testers as its not suitable for everyone
