Discover various practice projects that will allow you to gain valuable skills and experience in a hands-on, practical way, aiding your personal and professional growth.


These practice projects have been designed based on briefs in industry, they aim to help you practice a variety of different repeating, separating and colouring methods in order to get to the end result.


 

Brief 1

Brief 1 

Create a 320 x 320 repeat by piecing together the 4x berry scans which can be found here Practice files. Use the creative tools available to you in AVA to build the design and add new elements. 

This will help you consolidate your skills in the repeating module, and identify any areas you need to work on.

Use a separation method of your choice to separate the berry file you just finished repeating. Try to keep the amount of layers below 6 if possible.

Create 10 colourways of your design and present them on the layout page in a moodboard. Get creative with this, use downloaded images from online, coloured shapes, and your logo if you have one.

Using the design you have just coloured transfer them onto a Texture Mapping scene of your choice. Experiment with scale options, creating 2 versions of your design. You can then present these on your layout document

Create two coordinating designs, separating and colouring them before adding them to the layout document.
