New in AVA Suite
We’ve upgraded the Combine to Image command with a new, easy-to-use interface and some helpful features.
Visible layers and images can be combined to form a new image. This can be useful for creating a simple file in JPEG format, for example, to give to a customer who does not have AVA. Combining to an image is not the same as fusing, because fusing removes the original layers, whereas combining leaves the original layers exactly as they are.
Combining to Image
- Make any layers and images you wish to combine to a new image visible.
- If you only want to combine a small area, create a selection with one of the selection tools first. If there is no active selection, the whole file will be combined.
- Select Combine to Image from the Separate Menu, or click on the Combine To Image button in the toolbar. The following options will open:
- Select your desired Image Type and a new image will be created; this will be an exact copy of what is currently visible.
- All the original layers and images can now be removed if they are no longer needed. Or you may wish to split them into a new file for future use or reference.
Working with Indexed Images
- Go to Separate > Combine to Image
- Choose 'Indexed' Image Type
- Tick Always Include White
Always Include White
- When exporting 8-bit (colour-indexed) images, you’ll see a new option called ‘Always Include White Colour.’
- Turning this on ensures that the lookup colour table for your 8-bit image always includes white, even if your design doesn’t use it.
No More Duplicate Chips:
- We’ve cleaned things up! When separating to 8-bit images, the command now automatically removes any duplicate colour chips, streamlining your workflow.
These improvements make working with 8-bit images smoother and more reliable.
Auto from Profile
The application determines the correct image type from the selected ICC profile. The option takes sRGB as the default profile.
Select a profile
Allows you to select a profile through which the software will create your new image.
